Greenbluered & Share Smiles Giving Back

Greenbluered believes that tourism is an effective way to create economic opportunities for local communities in Central America, providing educational and social benefits to children of these communities through our nonprofit organization Share Smiles.

Our Mission

To improve the quality of life of Central American communities by providing them with economic opportunities through tourism, while also seeking to have a positive impact on travelers through authentic and meaningful experiences with personalized service.

We belive in…

  • Authentic, responsible, and meaningful travel.

  • Offering tourists unforgettable experiences through hands-on and interactive activities with locals.

  • Giving back to the communities we work with.

We have our own nonprofit organization called Share Smiles that sponsors communities with tourism potential and works directly with rural schools in those areas:

  • A percentage of what you pay for tours goes directly to the work of Share Smiles.

  • Many of our tours and packages include visits to the sponsored communities.

  • We hire local people for tours and activities.

This is how you can get involved!

1. VISIT OUR PROJECTS!

As part of your trip to El Salvador, you can choose to visit one of our projects located in wonderful places, either amidst three volcanoes or in front of a pristine beach. We can also coordinate a social trip where the goal is to spend time with a local school.

2. SEND YOUR SMILES TO OUR PROJECTS!

Through our nonprofit organization, you can provide one-time or monthly financial support, which goes towards the work we do. Visit the Share Smiles website for more information.

3. BECOME A VOLUNTEER!

Through our brand Share and Travel, you can volunteer for a week or more at one of our nonprofit projects. Visit Share and Travel for more information.

4. SHARE THE WORLD!

If you have had the opportunity to travel the world and want to share that same experience with one of our students, you can sponsor them on one of the trips we organize as part of the Share Smiles work. Traveling opens their minds and motivates the student to stay in school and eventually graduate.
